We believe that an education should allow students to engage with the world—not just to passively observe it. Approximately 40% of juniors (and occasionally seniors) at Tufts choose to study abroad for a semester or year, in destinations around the globe. Many students find study abroad to be a truly transformative experience, enabling them to build skills in all areas of their lives and helping them understand themselves and the world in new ways. Tufts University is proud to have offered study abroad programs to undergraduate students for over five decades. Students may also choose from hundreds of approved programs run by non-Tufts providers.
